Rules Of The Game 2014
Plot Synopsis
Facing Europe's skyrocketing unemployment rates, youngsters who have neither qualification nor work experience suffer the most. This non-interventional documentary looks into a service firm in Northern France, which is to assist the unemployed in getting a job. We follow four 20-year-olds through their counselling sessions in preparation for job interviews. Attire and attitude matter a lot, as well as the way of presentation. However, they don't seem convinced by "the rules of the game": one oversleeps and misses the session, another swears at the counsellor, and still another puts up a face of indifference. Bearing utmost patience and attentiveness, the counsellors have never lost hope in them. But when the pierced girl frankly proclaims that she doesn't want to force herself to smile, even the counsellor becomes speechless.
